We expect all EU member countries to give green light to North Macedonia, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrej Zhernovski said Monday ahead of a think tank forum on “Reinforcing the European Integration of the Western Balkans – Learning from the Past, Preparing for the Future” organized by the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis”, the Warsaw-based Center for Eastern Studies and the Embassy of Poland in Skopje.
Of course, Zhernovski continued, this decision does not depend only on us, it depends on the outcome of the EU elections, but we expect victory of the pro-European forces working on unification and unity of the continent and we are optimistic that we will finally get a date to open accession negotiations.
