Besimi announced that dolphin, shark and whale meat will become more expensive due to the increased tax

The Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi, defending the new tax reforms, announced that a higher tax of five to ten percent will be paid only for luxury products.

A higher tax of 5 to 10% will be paid only for luxury products. The rate for basic foodstuffs will remain unchanged. Luxury products such as shark, dolphin, and whale seafood will be subject to a higher tax, the minister explained to “Sitel”.
