Mickoski: Under our proposal, gas would cost 13 denars less

Gas prices will go down by 13 denars per liter, if the proposal from VMRO-DPMNE is accepted, said party leader Hristijan Mickoski.

Of the final price of 89.5 denars of BS95 fuel, 22 denars fall on the excise tax and 13.5 denars are taken in the value added tax. If the excise tax is cut in half, as we propose, then fuel would cost 13 denars less, Mickoski said.

The Government is considering cutting the excise tax by a third.
