A total of 1,598 local and foreign observers, journalists and translators have been accredited for Sunday’s second round of local elections.

According to data from the State Election Commission (SEC), most of the local observers monitoring the elections are from AKSIOS 2017 Civil Association in Skopje, the CIVIL Liberty Center in Skopje, the Institute of Economic Strategies and International Relations Ohrid-Skopje.

Most of the foreign observers are from the OSCE/ODIHR special election assessment mission and the US Embassy, and the elections will also be monitored by observers from IFES, the British Embassy, the embassies of France, Hungary, Albania, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, The Czech Republic, Croatia, Kosovo, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Latvia and Austria, as well as the BiH Central Election Commission.

10 foreign journalists have also been accredited.
