The Kovacevski Government is expected to select its new Secretary General, after Zoran Zaev’s hold-over Muhamed Zekiri was arrested on serious corruption charges. Zekiri is the second Secretary General of the Government in a row to be charged with corruption – after Zaev’s first chief of staff Dragi Raskovski was also detained and charged.

Fokus reports that Kovacevski is considering three candidates. One is the former Secretary of the City of Skopje Viktorija Avramovska – Madic. Magdalena Filipovska – Graskovska is head of the Inspection Council and is also being considered, as is another person from the same institution – Metodija Dimovski.
