Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Violeta Komitova is expected to present the results for the inspection conducted by her department following the deadly bus crash a week ago south of Sofia that killed 45 passengers – most of them Macedonian citizens.
Komitova’s department is focusing on the state of the Sofia – Dupnica stretch of the Struma highway where the accident happened. It’s believed that the driver got confused in the dark when he approached a poorly placed rest-stop, and hit its fence.
