The Government of Macedonia urges citizens to remain vigilant and immediately report any fires they see to local relevant fire services agencies, nearest institutions, buildings, police stations, and dial the emergency number 195 of the Crisis Management Center or 192 to report to the police.

In 2019, the Ministry of Interior has filed eight criminal charges against eight persons for eight fires, thus causing a general danger.

The State Agriculture Inspectorate and the State Inspectorate for Forestry and Hunting are carrying out controls on the field in order to prevent fire caused by burning stubble.
