“The Republic of Macedonia, in line with its European partners, supports and considers the President of the Venezuelan Assembly, Juan Guaido, as Interim President, in accordance with the Constitution, in order to organize free, fair and democratic presidential elections,” Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov wrote on Twitter.

France, Spain, Germany, Britain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and the Netherlands recognized Monday Venezuela’s opposition leader Juan Guaido as the country’s interim president, a day after the expiry of an eight-day ultimatum for Maduro to call a new election.
