The state run energy company ELEM is preparing to sell off its Popova Sapka ski resort near Tetovo.
Telma TV reported that the company, which was in the news for the series of nepotistic hirings of relatives of top SDSM and DUI party officials, is working on a feasibility study for the sale of Sapka. The once popular ski resort has suffered from years of under-investment and fell far behind his main competitors – Mavrovo and the Bulgarian resorts of Bansko and Borovetz.
Deputy Prime Minister Koco Angusev told Telma TV that he will be looking for potential investors in Western European countries and will try to use its closeness to the Skopje airport as a selling point,
