The Ministry of Health informs that Health Minister Venko Filipce, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Boyko Borisov and the Health Minister Kostadin Angelov will attend Tuesday’s session of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria. The session in Sofia is expected to discuss Macedonia receiving part of the first shipment of vaccines that will arrive in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The support from the EU member states is the second mechanism through which our country will provide Covid-19 vaccines. So far, Poland and Greece have offered this kind of assistance to our country. Apart from purchasing a certain amount of vaccines from these EU member states, our country has provided Covid-19 vaccines through the Covax mechanism. Talks are also underway with manufacturers for a possible direct purchase from them.
