European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Věra Jourová met with Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov on Monday in Skopje.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Dimitrov first congratulated Jourová on her new position in the new composition of the European Commission, as responsible for the portfolio – European Values and Transparency, which are of particular importance for the Macedonian citizens.
The Minister reiterated his determination to continue on that path, despite the disappointing outcome of the October EU Summit. In this context, they also exchanged views on domestic developments, as well as expectations and next steps related to the EU agenda, reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
EU Commissioner Jourová is paying a visit to the country on the occasion of the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice and Internal Affairs, organized under the auspices of the Finnish EU Presidency, which is being held in Skopje today and tomorrow.
