Two days before the pronouncement of the 27 April judgments and two days after the Zaev-Mickoski leadership meeting, former BJB director Mitko Cavkov was detained.

Cavkov’s arrest is a denial of the positive expectations that I had after the meeting with Zoran Zaev. One of the key issues we talked about was exactly the rule of law and the lost trust in law. The calculation with political opponents continues. Before the verdict for the “April 27” case was released, the MoI issued an order to detain Mitko Cavkov in the same way, in a semi-mafia way, with a fictitious official statement, as it was previously for two other former VMRO-DPMNE officials. A fictional official statement, a fictional house in one of our neighboring countries, that Cavkov’s family denied, said VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski on TV Sitel.

What is really bad, Mickoski believes, is that someone knows the judgment in advance, and on the other hand the mafia approach when watching the person who needs to be executed, he is arrested, detained, and the basis for all this is a symptomatic official statement.

I have information that Mitko Cavkov has been sentenced to more than 14 years. I expect the total verdict to be handed down will be over 100 years for all people and will be practically Nuremberg process, revenge and nothing else, said Mickoski.
