The Interior Ministry denied the claim by opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski that special police forces were deployed around his house in what could be preparation for his arrest.

Mickoski said that, following the latest series of arrests of VMRO officials, he prepared his family about his possible future arrest. In a TV interview, he said that he spotted special police forces moving around his house.

The Interior Ministry responded that it has approved a security detail for Mickoski, on his request. There is no confirmation whether these are the same officers which Mickoski was referring to.
