Journalist Aleksandar Mitovski, who faces criminal charges for his reporting on the racketeering scandal, asked Prime Miniter Zoran Zaev if it’s true that he was recorded while discussing the scandal.
In an interview with Alfa TV, Mitovski called Zaev out and implied that businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev recorded their meeting when Kamcev reported that he is being blackmailed.

The Prime Minister doesn’t want to face me, so I’ll use this opportunity to ask him, publicly, if it is true that Orce Kamcev recorded their meeting? Is he more afraid of the fact that he was recorded, or of what he said during this conversation? From what I’ve heard, from second hand sources, the contents of this conversation which Kamcev recorded were scary, Mitovski said.

Mitovski, who is editor of the Infomax news site, had criminal charges filed against him for publishing excerpts from Kamcev’s testimony which proved that Government officials were at the very least informed about the extortion of millions of euros from businessmen.

Zaev met with Kamcev while the businessman was being extorted by Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva. In an interview, Zaev acknowledged that it’s possible this meeting was recorded, despite the security measures which include leaving electronic devices at the door when entering Zaev’s office.
