The Latvian Parliament (Saeima) approved Thursday Macedonia’s NATO Accession Protocol.
NATO provides security for almost one billion citizens in Europe and North America. With the accession of North Macedonia, there will be 30 member states – all ready to protect each other. North Macedonia’s accession into the Alliance is also expected to contribute to strengthening regional and Euro-Atlantic security, said Rihards Kols, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in charge of for the Saeima draft-law.
