Macedonian Foreign Affairs Ministry began referring to the country as “Republic of North Macedonia”, in a press release in which it outlines future steps in the renaming process.
After the Greek Parliament ratified Macedonia’s entry into NATO, the Macedonian MFA said that it will send a joint letter with Greece to the United Nations to inform them that the name dispute is resolved.

Following this, the Republic of North Macedonia shall accordingly inform the UN Secretariat, member states, UN observer states, as well as other international institutions of which it is a member, about the changes that have taken place. This is expected to be pursued in the following few days, regarding which there will be timely information published, the Foreign Ministry informed.
