VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski congratulated the Turkish community in Macedonia on the day when teaching in Turkish language is celebrated as an official holiday.

This holiday is of great importance to all citizens, since the right to study in your own native language is one of the chief values of our country that helps nurture our tradition and values. The Turkish people, its culture and language are an inseparable part of Macedonia and the Macedonian people, and in honoring this day, we honor and respect distinctions that helps us build a stronger society and a better country, Mickoski said.

The day marks the opening of the first school in Turkish language in 1944, after the liberation in the Second World War.
