VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski strongly condemned the Islamist attack in Vienna on Monday evening. In a message to Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Mickoski said that the thoughts and prayers are with the people of Vienna.

Please accept my deepest condolences for the events in Vienna. This terrorist attack is aimed at the whole of Europe and the values we cherish. Macedonians feel with the people of Austria in these difficult times, said Mickoski.

He also urged the Foreign Ministry to assist Macedonian citizens in Austria in the aftermath of the attacks.
