VMRO-DPMNE has a plan to put Macedonia on a fast track to join the EU, said opposition leader President Hristijan Mickoski during his meeting with EU enlargement official Christian Danielsson.
The meeting was held to discuss the current political events in Macedonia and the key challenges we face ahead of the early general elections. Mickoski said that the key problem the Republic of Macedonia faces is the level of crime and corruption, adding that the Government is not only not doing anything to root out these problems, but in fact many current party and state officials from SDSM are involved in cases of high level corruption that are left unresolved, VMRO-DPMNE said in its press release following the meeting.
According to the party, opposition leader Mickoski said that, after the April 2020 elections, VMRO-DPMNE will base its Government on three pillars – fighting crime, building a digital society and restoration of Macedonian identity.
