As soon as VMRO-DPMNE assumes power, the Government will complete the census by conducting an electronic pairing of all available data, said opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski after today’s announcement of the census results, which was done despite the fact that 132,000 people, mostly ethnic Macedonians, boycotted it. This, and the inclusion of the diaspora where Macedonians overwhelmingly boycotted the process, increased the Albanian share of the population, while reducing the Macedonians to 54-58 percent of the population.

We had numerous objections from the very start of this statistical operation. We can only conclude that it is incomplete. As soon as the Government is changed, we will organize a new, realistic census, Mickoski said.
