For Macedonia, these are very important elections in many respects, they define the determination of the citizens whether they want to change something or the country will continue with the old way of working. For five years, the country has been regressing, and in terms of EU integration, we have not moved a single millimeter, said VMRO-DPMNE leader, Hristijan Mickoski in an interview for the “Politika” daily newspaper.

Mickoski added that the last excuse is the dispute with Bulgaria, which is really newly created and did not exist before in the framework and borders as now. It is a product of Prime Minister Zaev’s bargaining policy, which creates expectations for Bulgarians and accepts something that will not go unnoticed at home.

There is a huge number of betrayed expectations and unfulfilled promises, primarily in terms of the economy and the standard of living of the citizens. Despite all this, the government, namely Zaev, comes out with a slogan that he was the best for the citizens. That is why I say we have a choice to continue with the old way or finally things to change and move towards changes, projects and victories that will bring a new future, said Mickoski.
