President Pendarovski, who convened the National security council over the war in Ukraine, said that Macedonia condemns the “military actions Russia is undertaking in Ukraine, which have already resulted in loss of life and material damage”.

Pendarovski’s office, in a statement, added that the situation in Macedonia remains stable, in light of the crisis. “The country has sufficient reserves of goods and energy. The institutions were tasked to follow the situation closely, and intervene where necessary”, the President’s office added.

The ambassadors in NATO and Kiev were included in the meeting, and instructions were made to help evacuate Macedonian citizens from Ukraine.
