VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski accused the Zaev Government of badly underinvesting in education, while at the same time using 20 percent of the budget on unproductive and luxury spending.

The most dubious item of the budget, goods and services procured by the Government, is at a historically highest level this year – 347 million EUR, or an increase of 55 million EUR compared to 2020. It is 83 million EUR more than the crisis year of 2009, and 120 million EUR more than 2011 – another year of economic crisis, said Nikoloski.

He insisted that, at the same time, with all the challenges the education system is facing, the budget remains completely inadequate.
