There is only one conclusion about health care in the last seven years, and that is “it has never been worse”. The government of SDS and DUI has regressed the health care system, especially public health care, caused scandals, filled their pockets instead of infrastructure, and forgot about the citizens. Not only is there no progress in the department of what life means, but we also had a return to several decades ago, noted Igor Nikolov, president of the Health Commission of VMRO-DPMNE.

– After 7 years, they left behind only the degradation of the health system and staff who are demotivated by nepotistic, politicized employment, without criteria, and prepared only for staff close to the government. What was going on?

Last year, the government led by SDS and DUI received, to put it mildly, a slap from Brussels regarding the health situation. The report of the EC was negative and found basic negligence and backwardness especially in public health.

Instead of building a new clinical center, which should have been ready already, the citizens, due to the incompetence and following the personal and party interests of SDS and DUI, will pay compensation. And it is about compensation of almost 20 million euros, which will have to be paid with public money.

In 2021, in September, the modular hospital in Tetovo, burned down, there were 14 dead patients and zero responsibility.

The government of SDS and DUI had attempts to privatize biochemical laboratories, to privatize and concession emergency medical assistance, even for GOB “September 8”. And all this with one goal for personal needs and personal profits.

The authorities of SDS and DUI also left a mark with a series of non-transparent tenders that correspond to only one bidder. The procurement of medicines for rare diseases was especially non-transparent.

At the beginning of 2023, the system of the Health Insurance Fund crashed, which endangered the security of the personal data of policyholders and patients. Reimbursements for medicines and sick leave were not paid, and a problem arose with the salaries of the medical staff.

We witnessed the Oncology scandal that the government spoke about at the end of September last year. As the Health Commission, we warned about the developments back in April. In summary, the Oncology Clinic was operated without protocols, without expert collegiums, without a traceability system that was deliberately eliminated, for which the patients simply suffer, only they, while someone profits in the Ministry of Health and the FZO.

It’s never been worse and that’s why we’re going to beat them. The promises remained only on paper. “Will” epoch-making projects from the “it didn’t happen” column today are only synonymous with lies, manipulations, and non-work in these 7 years, as well as marginalization of this department.

They promised a revision of the Positive list of drugs, and there is no deviation from the new modern drugs on the Positive list. Currently, clinics that are crucial in the health system lack basic medicines. They seem to be preparing a Positive List after plan of pharmaceutical companies close to SDS and DUI, while next door we see modern drugs simply being added to the positive lists.

They promised primary health care reform, started it and left it like that.

They also promised exemption from participation for hospital treatment for patients, they promised to establish a fund for treatment abroad for children up to 18 years old. But it all went under the “I will, never happened” column.

One thing is clear, from the setback in all segments of healthcare, especially in public healthcare and non-realization of the projects and “I will” and “I will” devastation devastation really is enough!

It’s never been worse, it’s time to defeat them! Enough of “Will” government, enough of “Will” healthcare.
