Enver Toska (25), a police officer close to the ruling ethnic Albanian DUI party, confessed today in the brutal murder of 36 year old Bekir Alili, perpetrated in September. He now faces between 10 years and life in prison.

Toska was found to have been of a clear mind during the murder. He invited Alili to go check out a car for sale in a village near Prilep, and then shot him dead and burnt his body. Toska collected the 4.000 EUR which the victim was carrying in order to purchase the car. This is believed to be the main motive for the murder.

After the murder, checks of Toska’s Facebook page showed numerous pictures with top DUI party officials there, and he was clearly seen as a party loyalist and activist.
