Ahead of Tuesday’s meeting of the European Affairs Ministers, Minister of State for Europe Michael Roth who chairs the meeting at which negotiating framework for Macedonia was to be approved, said that Bulgaria’s’ blockade is “serious political mistake.” He says that Bulgaria is alone in the blockade, writes “Deutsche Welle”.

Despite the failure, Roth said he would put EU enlargement back on the agenda today.

We will talk about EU enlargement. Unfortunately, so far we have not been able to make the progress we have already confirmed. In the background are the bilateral demands of one member state that the other 26 could not join, Roth said.
