Six people, four at the “September 8th” hospital and three at the Clinic for Traumatology, Orthopaedic Diseases, Anaesthesia, Reanimation, Intensive Care and Emergency Centre (TOARICEC), are in critical condition after Wednesday’s bus accident at the Skopje-Tetovo motorway, hospital sources told MIA.
Health Minister Venko Filipce informed on Facebook that he has visited the injured passengers treated at the “September 8th” hospital.
This morning, at the hospital “September 8th” I visited the injured patients in yesterday’s bus accident that happened on the Skopje-Tetovo highway. Four of the injured patients at the ” September 8th” hospital and three of the injured patients at the Emergency Center in Skopje are still in a critical and difficult condition, but they are in stable health condition. Doctors are making their best efforts to give them the best health care and are doing everything they can to save the lives of the injured people, Filipce wrote.
The director of the “September 8th” hospital, Hristijan Kostov, said that following Wednesday’s bus accident, 32 injured were admitted in that public health institution, four of whom are in the Intensive Care Department and are in critical condition, and one was sent to the Thoracic Surgery Clinic.
The head of the Emergency Center Albert Leshi told MIA that two patients are still in critical condition. He pointed out that eight patients were admitted, two of whom were released to home treatment.
