Speaker of Greek Parliament Nikos Voutsis warned members of Parliament to stop using the common Greek nationalist expression that “Macedonia is one and it is Greek”.

During the heated discussion in the Parliament, which is expected to end this evening with a vote on ratifying the Prespa Agreement, many Greek protesters used the expression.

This is a very irredentist slogan ,Voutsis said.

Tens of thousands of protesters were dispersed with tear gas on Sunday and a new protest is expected as the vote draws near today.

Voutsis insisted that the deal is historic for the Balkans and the EU and will improve stability.
