After leaving out or avoiding to play the national anthem of the Republic of Macedonia, I do not think there is a person in this country who feels good, presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska Davkova said Wednesday before Negotino citizens.

Siljanovska Davkova does not believe that it is coincidental, or that the reason is in the delay of the plane.

No, in the delay or lack of patriotism lies the reason. And the patriot must by definition be someone who comes from you or who cares about you, about us. Those people seem to be ashamed of the anthem. They are afraid to actually sing the anthem. Why? Because in our anthem is our history, our identity, our past, but also our future.

They lie if they think that by leaving out the national anthem which is the basic symbol of the Republic of Macedonia they will indulge the guest from Greece. No, no one respects those who do not respect themselves. Nobody respects those who forget to be patriots.

The Greek patriotism is well known, but this view here also speaks of Macedonian patriotism. While you are here and while we are alive, the anthem will be with us. Of course, they may not play it, but the future president of the Republic of Macedonia will not stand in front of any foreign official without first hearing the anthem of the Republic of Macedonia, Siljanovska Davkova said.
