The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) concluded a contract for the procurement of new registration plates, as well as stickers for the registrations on which the marking MK will be replaced by NMK.
According to the official data available and published on the website of the Public Procurement Bureau available at the following link https://e-nabavki.gov.mk/PublicAccess/home.aspx#/dossie-acpp/6db99bb2-f46a-4cb2-82d8- 51a31ae8f924 in the tender specification there are also four types of license plate stickers that differ in size.
According to the dimensions, the MIA will purchase the stickers at different prices. So for a sticker with dimensions 99×42, the Ministry of Interior will pay 35 denars, for stickers with dimensions 85×40 millimeters the price will be 41 denars, stickers with dimensions 63×37 millimeters will cost 35 denars and stickers with the smallest dimension will cost 29.5 denars for two stickers.
For now, there is no information from the Ministry of the Interior about what the selling price of the stickers will be.
Apart from the stickers with the new constitutional name, the Ministry of Internal Affairs also procured license plates. According to the offer given by the holder of the public procurement “Quantum dooel Skopje”, a pair of registration plates for a vehicle (form no. 1) cost 637 denars including VAT.
Citizens should change their license plates by February 12, 2024 at the latest and have the “NMK” mark on them instead of the current “MK”, which is an obligation arising from the Prespa Agreement.
