Very low turnout in Stip, with series of election irregularities, and hardly any police presence at polling stations

There is no interest for the early mayoral elections in Stip. In one of the cities most affected by the coronavirus crisis, and with the largest number of infections in eastern Macedonia, voter turnout  is 8.52%, 3,561 citizens votes of the registered 41,177 by 11 am.

Due to the low turnout in the city, party activity was noticed. Activists of a party running in the elections are patrolling polling stations and disrupting the election process. Voters are also transported by car. On the other hand, there was a low police presence at polling stations.
