VMRO-DPMNE spokesman Dimitar Arsovski said that the Katica Janeva scandal directly involves top officials of the SDSM party and there are even reports that the Zaev family had personal gains from the blackmail of businessmen, conducted using the cache of wiretaps held by Special Prosecutor Janeva.

Arsovski also said that for the opposition party, it is acceptable in principle to merge the Special Prosecutor’s Ofice with the regular OJO office of state prosecutors, but that the person Zaev nominated to take Janeva’s place, his ally Vilma Ruskoska, if “far from acceptable”.

Arsovski asked the Zaev family to respond if it’s true that luxury vehicles owned by businessman who were extorted in the scandal are now the property of Trajce Zaev, Zoran Zaev’s cousin. It was reported that a Bentley and a Mercedes, owned by businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev, who was allegedly the target of the group, are now driven by Trajce Zaev. If confirmed, this would provide a direct link between the racketeering charges and the Zaev family.

These vehicles can be seen driven by Zoran Zaev’s relatives in Skopje or in Strumica, Arsovski said.

He also called on state prosecutors to clear up the rumors spreading in the public over the whereabouts of Katica Janeva, who hasn’t been seen in public since Monday and warned against attempts to cover the case up by laying the entire blame at the two enforcers, Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 and Zoran Mileski – Zoki Kicheec. A number of top SDSM party officials were allegedly involved in the group, that used its proximity to the Zaev Government, and Janeva’s unchecked power to open criminal investigations to extort money.

We can see that the madness of the SDSM officials knew no bounds. This is a criminal octopus which needs to have its head taken out. If that is not done, the tentacles will grow back again, and we will see them in the streets, blackmailing businessmen and politicians again, Arsovski added.

Meanwhile Orka Holding, the company owned by Kamcev, issued a press release denying that the Bentley and the Mercedes were sold to a different businessman, and not to Trajce Zaev. Orka Holding added that they are not responsible for the future transfers of these vehicles.
