VMRO-DPMNE called on Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski to resign, if he really agrees with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler, and her scathing comments about the rule of law in Macedonia.

Aggeler has taken to describing the situation in Macedonia as “epidemic of corruption”, as the US hastily puts businessmen and officails on their black lists – increasingly people from the once strongly favored SDSM party.

We call on Spasovski to wake up or sober up. His statement that he agrees with Ambassador Aggeler is tragedy in and of itself, as she warned that impunity for criminals is a major problem for the country. Of the 10 years that Aggeler spoke about, Spasovski has been Interior Minister for nine. He is so far gone that he doesn’t realize this is admission of his own guilt, VMRO-DPMNE said in a statement.
