The government of SDSM and DUI has led the citizens and companies to poverty. The measures and proposals they adopted are overdue and insufficient to deal with the crisis, said VMRO-DPMNE.

The party points out that if the government did not show stubbornness and accepted the proposals of VMRO-DPMNE, the citizens and the economy would be less damaged by the new price hikes, for 2 weeks the citizens would have reduced excises by 50% for fuels, and by giving up VAT for basic foodstuffs – cheaper groceries as well.

Every day we have new increases, increase in the price of oil derivatives, electricity, basic foodstuffs, but there is no increase in salaries and pensions. While the government is spending money on luxuries, while purchasing new furniture, buying new cars, in the country we have an announcement for closing small and medium-sized businesses, laying off employees, reads the party’s the statement.

The opposition party calls on the government to review the budget as soon as possible and to give up all unproductive expenses, to give up luxuries and redirect money to the citizens and reduce the consequences of the crisis.
