SDSM and Kovacevski are silent, thus rejecting VMRO-DPMNE’s proposals for building national unity.

SDSM first refused to vote on the Declaration on the character and work of Goce Delcev in the year that marks the 150th anniversary of his birth. Now, even more symptomatically, SDSM and Kovacevski refuse to give written guarantees for the Macedonian identity, language and history. Kovacevski should accept these guarantees and give them first to his people, and then to represent and defend them before Brussels and Bulgaria, VMRO-DPMNE notes.

The party adds that it is really absurd for Kovacevski to give guarantees to Petkov and Bulgaria, and not to give guarantees to his people.

Such guarantees will not only be an expression of national unity and strengthening of state positions, they will also be a guarantee that Macedonia will not be stopped on its European path with absurd obstacles. But, unfortunately, the silence of SDSM and Kovacevski show that they are ready for bargaining that will lead to deprivation of identity. If now Kovacevski accepts the disputing positions of Sofia to become part of the negotiating framework of Macedonia, then it means an open door for the sale of identity, said the opposition party.
