The coordinator of VMRO-DPMNE’s group in Parliament Nikola Micevski addressed the journalists late Thursday after the Parliament’s 19 session and accused the government and the Parliament of non-transparency.
Although they did not inform us about the continuation of the session after 6 pm according to the Rules of Procedure, we remain with active filibustering to prevent their intention to smuggle laws out of the public eye. What is so criminal that the Government and Zaev are in a hurry tonight to abuse 33 million euros of public money in a smuggling way, Micevski asked.
He stressed that the opposition MPs will not give up and with all their strength and measures will prevent the adoption of this harmful law.
The government wants to pass a law through a back door without sufficient information and public consultation, which will recognize Makpetrol ownership of 50% in the gas pipeline in the Republic of Macedonia and would be paid an unrealistically high price of 33 million euros for its share, although the government itself says that the value of Makpetrol’s share is worth 18.8 million euros. Why does the Government want to pay Makpetrol an extra 14.2 million euros? Why doesn’t the State Attorney want to give permission to Prime Minister Zaev to sign the agreement? Why is the law passed in the Parliament, something that has never happened before in the history of the Republic of Macedonia, said Micevski and added that VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition’s group in Parliament with long speeches on the floor will continue to block the work of the Parliament.
