While closing the televised debate with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski asked him to accept a pin with teh Macedonian flag, inscribed “Republic of Macedonia”.
Zaev, who constantly dropped the name “Republic of North Macedonia” and unlike Mickoski and the TV host avoided saying just “Macedonia”, refused the offer.

We are North Macedonia, Zaev told Mickoski while giving him the pin back.

In response, Mickoski pinned it to his coat and asked Zaev to issue him a fine if he wants to.
