The goals and tasks in the first epoch were different, compared to the goals and tasks in the second epoch. Because you still have to admit that after the failure to form a government in 2017 and the biggest defeat that happened in the local elections in 2017, I would say a state of demotivation within VMRO-DPMNE. And it is logical for a large part of the activists, the supporters, to passivize the membership after the serious rush of the then government.

Both the goals and the tasks in that first epoch after my election as president of VMRO-DPMNE at the end of 2017 were to stabilize the party again, to reorganize it, to restore, I would say, the damaged reputation we had with the international community, with our strategic allies and friends. At the same time to create coalition potential inside Macedonia with other political parties. And finally to win the elections, said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, prof. dr. Hristijan Mickoski in an interview with MRT.

Mickoski added that, unfortunately, in the parliamentary elections last year they were under the guise of the corona crisis and then in a rush of the government and bribes, pressure, threats and blackmail enabled the coalition SDSM and Besa to have 10,000 more votes than VMRO- DPMNE and two MPs. But, that is why in the local elections that took place a month ago, VMRO-DPMNE, as never before, managed to defeat its political opponent twice, and that is SDSM. With the fact that VMRO-DPMNE won 42 mayors plus the city of Skopje and in several other municipalities to be the majority, ie to be part of the bodies that manage that municipality and to have 70 more councilors.

If from this today’s perspective we make an assessment of whether we have fulfilled the goals we set in the first epoch, I can say that we have fulfilled them and in the end I can say that there is one more I would say another burden that VMRO-DPMNE carries, and that is frozen property. Which is the result of I would say a violent and artificial trial by the ruling majority of SDSM, explained Mickoski.

He pointed out that the second epoch is something else, now VMRO-DPMNE as a political party wants to make a social mobilization of every free-thinking individual.

Because we have a feeling as if those smart heads are set aside, as if they are sitting aside, as if they do not have any active participation in the political life, Mickoski stressed.
