Ukraine and Moldova have enthusiastically embraced the European Council’s decision to commence negotiations for their EU membership. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed this as a “victory” for his country and Europe, while Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed immense pride, describing it as a historic day that validates their unwavering efforts.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu echoed this sentiment, expressing her appreciation for the EU’s decision. She emphasized Moldova’s readiness to tackle the challenges ahead and complete the demanding tasks required for EU accession.
