The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung conference, that begins in Skopje today, will bring together the main opposition leaders from Macedonia, but also from the region. VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski will meet with the leaders of the Alliance of Albanians Ziadin Sela and Alternative Afrim Gashi. These three parties are just a few seats shy of a majority in the Parliament, ruled by the SDSM-DUI-BESA coalition with 62 seats out of 120.
The conference will include representatives from other conservative parties in the region. The opposition Democratic Party in Albania led by Lulzim Basha is sending its representative Arben Kashahu. The Democratic League of Kosovo, founded by Ibrahim Rugova, is also sending representatives, and online attendants will include EPP member of European Parliament Paulo Rangel.
