Vlado Buckovski, the Government’s Special Envoy for Bulgaria, says a common ground with a Bulgarian government potentially led by Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev will be found swiftly.
This approach that he promotes, has been forced by the Macedonian side, from the moment I became a special envoy of the Government. I inherited the already prepared roadmap that we harmonized, and where we tried through the activities of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be much more pragmatic and much more productive. Here, because Kiril Petkov says that this is a working process and does not know how quickly the working groups will harmonize, and I know that we already have a document that can meet these requirements, I think we will swiftly find a common ground, said Buckovski.
Buckovski said on TV Telma’s “Top Tema” show, that the key question is whether it will be achieved by December 14. Buckovski pointed out that there are encouraging results and that he expects Bulgaria to finally have a political government and a new strategy from the Bulgarian side that would suit Macedonia, but said that it should be clear to us that time is not our ally.
