Bulgarian rescue teams saved five Macedonian skiers who got lost on Mount Pirin.
The group left the ski paths near the Bansko resort and headed along unmarked paths. Some of them went into rough terrain and were unable to continue forward, after which a rescue effort had to be launched.
Bansko rescue services acted promptly and managed to get all skiers back to the city. The drama unfolded on Sunday afternoon, and by 20h in the evening the group was all back in the hotel.
