Prosecutors informed that the driver who was operating the bus which crashed on Wednesday with tragic loss of life was not intoxicated.

The Durmo company bus was 18 years old and had only recently completed its latest mechanical check and was cleared for commutes in January. After being left on the crash site overnight, today the bus was taken to Skopje where experts from the Mechanical Faculty will examine it further. Prosecutors will also continue to investigate the Durmo company and look into its maintenance procedures, as well as into whether the driver may have been distracted by using a cell phone.
