Catholic believers on Friday celebrate Christmas – the Birth of Jesus Christ. Traditionally, on the occasion of the holiday, a holy mass was held Thursday evening in Catholic Cathedral “Most Holy Heart of Jesus” in Skopje.

The holy mass was attended by President Stevo Pendarovski and his wife Elizabeta Gjorgievska, the director of the Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups, Darijan Sotirovski, as well as a smaller number of believers compared to previous years in accordance with the Covid-19. protocols.

Inside the cathedral there was a certain number of clergymen and believers, and outside in the courtyard there was a live video streaming in order for the believers who could not enter to watch the mass. It was mandatory to wear masks and maintain the necessary distance between those present.
