Collecting signatures for the presidential candidates ends Saturday midnight. So far, only candidates Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova, Stevo Pendarovski and Blerim Reka have collected the necessary signatures for the presidential race.

The joint candidate of 31 political parties from the SDSM-led coalition and DUI, Stevo Pendarovski, received support from over 60 MPs in Parliament.

Pendarovski, in addition to the signatures of the deputies until yesterday in the SEC offices across the country he collected over 32,000 signatures from citizens.

SDSM’s congress confirmed the election of Stevo Pendarovski as presidential candidate. Of the 783 delegates attending, 712 unanimously, voted for Stevo Pendarovski.

VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate, professor Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, collected the necessary signatures of citizens in just one day. About 16,000 citizens gave their signatures for her in the SEC offices across the country.

Although the professor won the trust of the majority of VMRO-DPMNE delegates for their presidential candidate, she still asked for support from the citizens.

Blerim Reka, backed by the Alliance for Albanians and the Besa Movement also collected the necessary signatures.
