Ognen Janeski, a journalist and former Colored Revolution activist who recently resigned as editor in chief of the pro-Government TV24 television, posted a cryptic message indicating that he and his family are being threatened. Like so many disillusioned Colored Revolution supporters these days, Janeski threatened new protests, this time against the ruling SDSM he once supported.
I don’t regret a mile I walked on the protests and facing the angry police which chased me down the streets because I wanted things to change and I succeeded in it. And I would do it again. I don’t care who is in office, or who I know in the Government. I will forget everything for a moment now that you are touching my personal space, my family, my nearest, all because of your local, village sheriff politics. You touch my family, I go after what you love – your money and power. And we will beat you again and you will fall and those after you, Janeski wrote.
The journalist did not provide much additional information about who is going after him or why he resigned as TV24 editor in chief. His comment was also highly critical of the singer Tamara Todevska, who created a controversy when she altered the text of the Macedonian national anthem during her performance at the US Embassy 4th of July event.
