A construction worker fell from the third floor of a building under construction in Stip. After the man was hospitalized with injuries to his legs and ribs, police contacted the developer, who insisted that he “doesn’t know the worker”.
Local Star TV reported that the incident happened on Thursday in the 8th of November district of Stip. The police quickly determined that the worker was not even insured and approached the owner of the company. His response was that he never met the man and that he “climbed on the scaffolding out of curiosity”.
Labour inspectors and state prosecutors are investigating the case.
