The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, met Tuesday with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia, Daniel Joseph Emery.

According to the Secretariat for European Affairs, Dimitrov wished a successful diplomatic mission to Ambassador Emery and expressed hope that during his tenure, bilateral relations would continue to develop in an upward direction in order to promote and enrich friendship and alliance on the international stage, especially in terms of multilateralism.

Ambassador Emery expressed confidence and readiness to further enhance the close relations between Macedonia and Australia by continuously strengthening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and trade between the two countries. He also expressed interest in the European perspective of the country and support in the European integration process, reads SEA’s statement.
