Police was sent today to remove the Banjoglav family from their home in the village of Karbinci, near Stip, after it defaulted on a debt of 10.000 EUR. Riste Banjoglav, who once ran to be the Mayor of Karbinci as the SDSM party candidate, took the money three years ago in order to start a goat farm.

After he allegedly failed to make orderly payments, the house is now being repossessed. Banjoglav claimed that he has paid back the amount, but that he is the victim of loan-sharks working together with the court officers.

Local media were on hand to record the eviction.
