DUI MP Ejup Alimi, although part of the government, asked Friday in Parliament Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, why the police terrorized Albanian families in the village of Ljuboten, and did not prevent tobacco crime before crossing the border.
Did the whole illegal production that came to the village of Ljuboten come from the last rains? Or with a special plane? Where are the institutions to do something about this activity? From the southern border from Gevgelija to the village Ljuboten there is more than 150 km of road. There are more than 50 kilometers from the border with Serbia, said Alimi.
According to Minister Spasovski, the action was not aimed at the villagers, but to individuals and accused Alimi of misusing the case for other purposes.
The action in Ljuboten sparked numerous reactions from the villagers. Police seized 16 tons of tobacco and machines for its processing, reminds Alsat M.
